Bring the ohana, enjoy a special performance by The Steppas, keiki games & activities, food & drink, and the first-ever Umekes Poke Throwdown competition. Come enjoy a day of celebrating the Aloha spirit and supporting the people of Maui. MAUI RELIEF & KEIKI OF DA AINA
A portion of proceeds from this event will go to the families affected by Maui’s wildfires and to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture for our Keiki.

Compete in the Poke Throw Down
How it works
Calling all Home Chefs and Professional Chefs! This is your chance to prove to a panel of judges that you are the Master of Poke and you have what it takes to earn the title and win a Las Vegas Vacation for two including; round-trip tickets and a 3-day / 2-night stay at the brand new Sahara Las Vegas, a Master of Poke trophy, and all the bragging rights. Compliments of Southwest Airlines and Sahara Las Vegas Hotel.
This is your time to shine! Impress our VIP ticket holders with your poke and earn their vote in the People’s Choice category. Win a hand-crafted Sujihiki Knife valued at $700, a one-night ocean view stay at Royal Kona Resort, and a Poke Throwdown People’s Choice award to take home.
*Contestants are encouraged to use sustainable, locally farmed, and high-quality ingredients. Contestants will pay an entry fee if their application is accepted to compete.

Interested in having a booth at our event? Now accepting applications for like-minded businesses that align with our mission and values. If your business is ʻāina based, ocean-inspired, and keeps sustainability in mind, we want to hear from you! Fill out the application form for the opportunity to be a part of the biggest event of the year.
If your business is cooking/selling food you must have insurance naming Umekes LLC as an additional insured and a special event permit for your business.

Volunteers are an extension of our Ohana. If you share our passion for serving the community and enjoy being a part of the action, come volunteer with us on September 2nd.
Each person will be given:
- One free admission ticket to give to a loved one
- An exclusive volunteer shirt
- Lunch
- Be in our team photo to be hung in the restaurant

About
Umekes Poke & Seafood Festival was born from an idea that Nakoa Pabre, Owner of Umekes, had to find the best poke chef through a high-stakes competition, while delivering a family-friendly experience that speaks to the Umekes mission. He was born and raised on the big island, a family man, and has a passion for preserving Hawaiian tradition by sourcing as many ingredients as possible from local fisherman, farmers, and ranchers.
Umekes is a family-owned and operated business known for its award-winning poke and fish so fresh, it’s “Off Da Hook”.
This family-friendly event will feature Keiki’s Corner, with games and prizes, and vendors providing food, art, jewelry, and more. Enjoy live music, hula performances, and entertainment!
